Kay B. Davis helped mobilize this very community as the Founder and President of the Mount Pleasant Resident Council. She served as a Justice of the Peace for the State of Connecticut, as well as a member of the NAACP & the New Britain Democratic Club and the New Britain Black Democractic Club. She also served as the clerk and organist of her church for fifty years.

We wish to highlight the shining example of Sister Kay by renaming our program the Kay B. Davis Grown-ish Program in her honor.
