Mallory Deprey

Mallory Deprey holds the title of, Community Services Program Manager, for the City of New Britain, CT. Mallory is responsible for the oversight of all Community Service initiatives which include; the Youth Services Bureau, Housing and homelessness, Persons with Disabilities; The Downtown Market; various NB Recovers task forces, employee wellness and more.

Mallory is an active member of the New Britain community including: 10 years of employment with the YWCA New Britain. Here she re-energized programming by expanding services to middle and high school girls, along with spearheading the opening of a community based center on the East side of New Britain, where her signature, House of Teens’ program runs out of. She is a former Board of Education member for the Consolidated School District of New Britain; former chair of the Professional Development Committee for the Coalition for New Britain’s Youth; active Board of Director for the YMCA and OIC, and an original board member of young professionals for the Greater New Britain Chamber of Commerce. She is also a White-Riley-Peterson Fellow, which is a national fellowship program that is geared to policy work regarding afterschool and out of school time programming.

Mallory is a native of New Britain and has been working with the youth and residents through community-based programs for more than 20 years. She graduated from New Britain High School. She was involved with the sports and music programs. She received her degree from Southern Connecticut State University majoring in Recreation and Leisure studies with the concentration of community and youth development. Mallory believes that combining the power of grit and resilience, and following your passion can bring greatness to life within any circumstance. Mallory offers consulting in after school quality, engaging youth, setting up a positive learning environments, and team building.
